The Sports Marketing class has been very busy organizing a raffle to fundraise for their upcoming Hockey Academy trip to Buffalo and Toronto. They designed raffle tickes, flyers, and announcements in order to promote the raffle. The grand prize was a signed Pavel Datysuk jersey!!! Congratulations goes out to Mrs. Pearson who was the lucky winner.

Life Skills Co-op Class 2014
The following students have been doing a wonderful job in their co-op placements this semester:
Tori Boismier, Veronica McDonald, and Maygan Sidi are at Sunrise Assisted Living.
Tori, Veronica, and Maygan enjoy going to co-op. They assist the residents with daily activities which include: interacting with the residents through conversation, bingos, mealtime, manicures, arts, crafts, and laundry.
They always display a positive attitude and consistent work habits!!!
Way to go. Keep up the great work!!!

The following students have been doing a wonderful job in their Co-op placements this semester:
Daniel Denomme and Aaron Laframboise are at Giant Tiger on Wyandotte
Daniel works in receiving unpacking, tagging and pricing new clothing and shoes that come in each day to the store.
Aaron works in receiving and the grocery department. He takes the grocery stock from receiving (example: milk, bread) and fills the grocery shelves with stock. He also helps put up new displays and sometimes helps customers find grocery items.

Daide’s strengths and accomplishments:
Responsible, mature, and cooperative
Displays warmth, caring, and positive attitude
Adaptable and always on the move.
Daide says she has learned to be very patient
Daide’s duties include: helping student’s with school work, assisting with arts and crafts,
participating in circle time, assists with some marking.
Daide’s Supervisor says that her greatest strength is “Caring for the children’s needs”
Daide’s weekly logs and journals are very well done and submitted on time.

Joanie Dunlop Employee of the Month
Joanie is a Co-op student at Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus where she works in the Eye Surgery Clinic. Joanie is very eager to learn all aspects of nursing. She is an extremely motivated, positive, insightful, kind, and caring individual who can initiate, prioritize and accomplish many tasks. She works extremely well with all of the staff and patients at the clinic. Joanie assists the nursing staff by completing various duties, including taking patient's vitals, assisting the patients once their surgery is complete, and discharging patents; she takes care of all of the patients needs from the moment they enter the clinic. The entire nursing and volunteer staff are very impressed that Joanie is so enthusiastic, dependable, and is always striving for perfection. They know that they can always count on her to have her work completed on time, and in a very professional manner. Their only wish is that they could have Joanie as a Co-op student for the entire day. Keep up the fantastic work Joanie!
Christiano Pagani Employee of the Month
Christiano's placement is at DiPietro & Scott Law Firm. Christiano assists in all areas of the office by mailing and filing all documents related to upcoming trials, opening and closing cases, serving the crown and various courts with documents, and delivering files to court. Has also attends some court cases and observes the lawyers in action. Christiano is an extremely motivated, professional, and accurate person who can initiate, prioritize, and accomplish many tasks. He has made a great impression on the staff from day one. They all appreciate his enthusiastic and positive attitude and they trust, that any job that is given to him, will be completed promptly, professionally, and with the utmost care. Way to go Christiano!
Kaitlyn Vallee Employee of the Month
Kaitlyn is spending her semester at St. Jules Catholic Elementary School as an assistant teacher in the JK/SK classroom. Kaitlyn relates very well with all of the students, and she can often be found supervising craft activities or sitting on the carpet reading to students. All of the students look up to Miss Kaitlyn as a person that they can trust. Kaitlyn strives for perfection in all areas and is aware of everything that is going on in the very busy JK/SK classroom. All of the staff members at St. Jules School are very impressed with Kaitlyn's enthusiastic, caring, co-operative, and positive attitude. St. Jules is very lucky to have Kaitlyn as a part of their school team. Excellent job Kaitlyn!
