Minigolf Fundraiser

In June, as part of their ISU, the Sports Marketing class from Brennan hosted a mini-golf fundraiser whereby the proceeds from the event went toward Breast Cancer Research. The event was very well attended by both the students from Brennan and Corpus Christi Middle School and raised over $230. The top three finishers were: Tyler Whitter (1st ), Mitchell MacMillen (2nd ) and Brad Vincent (3rd). Thanks to all who participated; we couldn't have done it without you!

Golf Outing

Golf outing at Sutton Creek

On Saturday May 23rd, Brennan hosted its annual golf tournament at Sutton Creek Golf Course. The tournament was well attended by many staff and alumni. Proceeds from the tournament are used to pay for school needs such as computers, sports equipment etc.  A very special thanks goes to the tournament organizer, Mr. Pat Vettraino and our Parents' Club volunteers for making this event, once again, a very successful one... fore sure!

Careers day at Comerica

On Friday, April 17th, Business, Math and SHSM classes from Phys. Ed. and Photography attended the annual Career Day at Comerica Park. While enjoying an unseasonably warm beautiful day in April, the students were given the opportunity to hear presentations from various persons in sports-related business and marketing careers before being treated to a very exciting game that saw the Detroit Tigers defeat the Chicago White Sox 2 to 1.

Congratulations Austin!

Congratulations goes to Austin Robinson for representing Brennan in the Jr. Boys basketball shootout held at Massy H. S. on April 1st. Austin knocked down his first four three point shots as this contest was a very run and gun, high octane affair!

Sports Marketing in Action

On Monday January 12th, Mrs. Sokol's Sports Marketing class put what they've learned into action at the Senior Boys Basketball game.  The class put together 3 promotional events in order to put more "fans in the stands."

In between quarter one and two -  a Cardinal Race took place to entertain the fans.
At half-time - there was a shooting competition with a $25 Gift Card awarded to the winner.
In between quarter three and four - there was a 3-legged race with a $10 Subway card awarded to the winners.

The class put their advertising skills to work by creating posters, announcements, and social media posts in order to raise awareness before the game.  Way to go Sports Marketing!  The event drew double the amount of student fans as a normal game without promotions.
