Co-op Student of the Month - Ryan Coughlin

Placement:  Windsor Police Service – Training Branch 



Ryan's strengths and accomplishments:

 

q  Ryan assists in the shooting range by setting up targets and barricades and maintaining weapons

q  He also assists with administrative duties and participates in and assists with any applicable training courses

q  Ryan has impressed the various Officers with his maturity, reliability, and independence

q  Ryan works extremely well with all staff

q  He is enthusiastic, positive, and strives for perfection

q  Ryan has an excellent attendance record

q  All class assignments are done very well

q  "Ryan is a fantastic and dependable worker. He works very well on his own with very little supervision.  Ryan is shown a task once and then it is completed to perfection.  He is willing to help any staff member who is in need."

Co-op Student of the Month - Jaden Greig

Placement:  St. Rose Catholic Elementary School

Jaden's strengths and accomplishments:

 

  • Is an assistant teacher in the Grade 2/3 classroom
  • Works very well one on one with the students
  • Jaden has started to plan and teach the weekly Physical Education classes
  • Relates very well to all of the students and is a person that the students know they can trust
  • Strives for perfection in all areas of the class
  • All assignments are submitted on time and are done very, very well
  • Has very good attendance
  • Mrs. Marion, the Grade 2/3 teacher said the following "I am very impressed with Jaden's caring and positive attitude.  She is a very kind, caring, co-operative, and enthusiastic girl. Jaden is a very mature student, who is always aware of everything that is going on in our classroom. St. Rose is very lucky to have her as a part of the school team."

Drew's strengths and accomplishments:

  • Drew assists the Life Enrichment Manager and also independently leads a variety of activitiesExtremely independent, motivated, and persistent person who can initiate, prioritize and accomplish many tasks
  • Works extremely well with all staff and is not afraid to ask questions
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and strives for perfection
  • Respects the confidentiality of the residents and is very kind, patient, and caring with everyone that she works with
  • All assignments are done very well
  • Has excellent attendance
  • "Drew is one of the best Co-op students we have had at St. Clair Beach Retirement Residence.  She shows a genuine interest and is always seeking further knowledge.  She is so kind to all of our residents."

Grade 9 Take Our Kids To Work

On Wednesday November 2nd, many grade 9 students at FJB participated in the annual Take Our Kids to Work Day.  All grade 9's had the opportunity to go to work with their parents or a person of their choice and job shadow for the day.  What a great opportunity to explore future career opportunities!
